Ingredients

Nonstick cooking spray

2 cups dry oatmeal

12 tsp cinnamon, divided

14 tsp salt

13 cup dry instant nonfat milk

1 chopped apple

3 cups boiling water

12 cup pure maple syrup, divided

2 tbsp chopped walnuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

1. Spray a medium-size baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

2. In a large bowl, combine oatmeal, 14 tsp cinnamon, salt, dry milk, and apple. Mix well.

3. Add the boiling water and 14 cup maple syrup. Stir and pour into baking dish.

4. Top with remaining 14 tsp cinnamon and walnuts.

5. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes. Top with remaining 14 cup maple syrup.

Makes 4 servings.
