Ingredients

Recipe for Quick Brown Rice Pilaf

1 lb (four 4-oz) beef tenderloin steaks, 1-inch thick

Nonstick cooking spray

12 cup reduced-sugar apricot preserves

2 tsp lemon juice

4 dried apricots, chopped

14 tsp salt-free Mrs. Dash† Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend

Dash red pepper flakes

14 tsp salt

4 green onions, sliced

Directions

1. Prepare Quick Brown Rice Pilaf recipe according to directions.

2. Spray a broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Broil steaks for 6 to 8 minutes on each side.

3. In a small saucepan, combine apricot preserves, lemon juice, dried apricots, salt-free seasoning, red pepper flakes, and salt. Place over medium heat and stir for 1 to 2 minutes to melt. Remove from heat and set aside.

4. Spoon sauce over each steak and top with onions. Serve with quick brown rice pilaf.
