1. Place dry oatmeal in a blender and blend for 5 to 10 seconds to make oat flour. Pour into a large bowl and add flour, cornmeal, brown sugar, salt, and dry milk. Mix well.
2. Add canola oil and warm water. Mix with a wire whisk and let stand for 5 minutes.
3. Spray a 7-inch round or small waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray. When hot, pour 3⁄4 cup of batter on the waffle iron and cook 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown. Repeat to make 4 waffles.
