  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Spray a medium-size baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine oatmeal, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, salt, dry milk, and apple. Mix well.
  4. Add the boiling water and 1/4 cup maple syrup. Stir and pour into baking dish.
  5. Top with remaining 1/4 tsp cinnamon and walnuts.
  6. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes. Top with remaining 1/4 cup maple syrup.
  7. Makes 4 servings.
